Kids & community.
Neighbors & volunteers.

We're working together to give every young person the information, support, and confidence they need to live substance-free.

Shine brings together neighbors from every corner of Somers – teachers, students, business owners, parents, law enforcement, and community leaders – all united around helping our young people make informed, healthy choices about alcohol and substance use.

Our approach is built on facts, not fear. We provide data-informed resources and create safe spaces for honest conversations about real challenges. From prevention education to mental health support, we work with our entire community to empower young people however we can.

What's the real cost? Teens who vape spend an average of $1,000+/year on products. That's 60+ hours of work at minimum wage!

Be upfront with your kids! Data shows that 4 out of 5 teens who have clear family rules around substances won't use.

Prevention That Works

We're currently focused on sharing data-based strategies that lead to less underage substance use. Getting practical tools and resources that make a difference in our community is easy.
